They matched paint colors perfectly and were able to paint very dark grey (practically black) walls white without any issue. He carefully and thoroughly prepared our home for staining, using powerwashing to even out pretty serious black stains on part of the siding. They painted both the exterior and interior of our house in the Tahoe Donner area, near Truckee.
Their work on the exterior was very good, including some small repairs to the barge rafters and roof trim. They interacted with the Homeowners Association to be sure the their planned work would present an acceptable appearance in keeping with the requirements for the neighborhood. The pre-cleaning of the house, the masking of the windows and trim and the application of primer and finished paint were done very professionally.
The interior work was also executed very well. The color recommended worked very well with the existing wood stove mantel. The masking of the non-painted woodwork was completed nicely and the required two coats of paint were applied. There was no spillage, the carpet had been covered well.
Carlos, especially, was great to work with. He quickly provided answers to questions and had no qualms about making minor adjustments to the language of the bid. He provided progress reports and photographs of the finished work.
The work started on time and was completed in the time given with the initial bid. The final cost matched the bid price, there were no unpleasant surprises.
As I said, I would definitely hire Elite Paint and Stain again and would definitely recommend them to others.”
